Speaker: Ja-Zette Marshburn, Head of Archives, National Museum of African American History and Culture, Smithsonian
Pronouns: she/her/hers
Ja-Zette Marshburn, MLS, is a lifelong Marylander with a passion for the preservation of history related to underrepresented and under-documented cultural communities. After growing up in a family of educators and visual artists, Ja-Zette initially pursued higher education in print journalism at Hampton University. Ultimately, she received her B.A. in History with an emphasis on African American studies from the University of Maryland University College. She received her MLS from the University of Maryland College Park.
