 p does not reside in the museum\, and for FIC\, the ownership is but a li
 st of possibilities.  This webinar will cover the history and actions mus
 eums have taken to deal with these two categories.  It contains a basic i
 ntroduction to property\; definitions of the vocabulary used in each inst
 ance\; a description of the confusion that exists because of misunderstan
 dings caused by the well-meaning legislation that conflated the two situa
 tions\; causes for the existence of the problem\; and procedures and proc
 esses that can be used to clear title.   A case study of the development 
 of New Jersey Old Loan legislation and use of that legislation by the New
 ark Museum of Art will round out the presentations.\n*Please note that th
